St James' Infirmary performed by Irigu in RAI's dimly-lit library/gig space. The light was poor, so I added some cheap effects.

In the 18th century (or possibly earlier) someone made up a song that became St James' Infirmary. In the earliest known version (1790) the protagonist is a "soldier dying of syphilis." But, as fate would have it, the protagonist "crosses oceans, changes sex, becomes a cowboy dying of gunshot wounds on the streets of Laredo, coming to rest finally in New Orleans as the black hero of... 'St. James Infirmary.'"

If you want to know about the history of the song, this article will keep you going.
